Mission Statement

Any American company that has been successful in the domestic market must consider where else it could be successful and whether China offers a potential area of expansion. Until very recently China’s economic growth was based solely upon the rapid expansion of its overseas sales. In 2000 the trade deficit between China and the US was a little over 10 billion dollars; by 2006 that figure had grown to an impressive 100 billion dollars. In the wake of the world-wide recession, however, the economic strategy of the Chinese government has radically shifted. The development of the huge Chinese domestic market has become a priority, creating serious opportunities for US companies with the will to win.

The ELCS team is dedicated to helping small to mid-size American companies that need to succeed globally, both in order to survive in the domestic marketplace and in order to create sustainable value. Our approach is oriented towards ensuring that the expansion process is not hindered by factors such as incomplete go-to-market plans, under capitalization and cultural differences. As a boutique consulting company we are able to offer an array of services specifically adapted to meet the needs of US companies wishing successfully to penetrate China’s markets.
